Caleta de San Juanico

I'm obviously not keeping up with our blog. Most of the time we are out and about either having fun in the sun doing whatever you do when your home is surrounded by water. Of course, we also need internet connection to update our blog. Then there is also motivation to just do it. A bit hard when one has been having so much fun all day and just want to relax and sleep. Okay enough with excuses.

Bonfire in Caleta de San Juanico. Fish tacos for dinner. After a day of snorkeling and exploring the beaches. Here we stayed for 3 days. The crew on multihull sailing vessel Gato Loco and Bill & Kat of Island Bound shared there bonfire with us. How can they refuse since we brought more wood. T'was a beautiful evening with a full moon to add to it.

The next day Bill and Kat showed us how to collect chocolate clams. We had them over for pasta with clams. They prepared it as an appetizer. We were stuffed to the gills. After dinner, we went to their boat and they taught us a fun dice game called Farkle.

Lenard noticed a boat anchored close to Island Bound maybe be an acquaintance we met while in San Diego. He went over to sailing vessel Si Bon talked to Steve. Since it was our last night here, we planned another bonfire on the beach with them. During the day, we got more clams, breaded and fried them. More good eats.

The beaches throughout the cove are well worth combing for shells as well as crystals.

Pinnacle rock at the northwest anchorage
Snorkeling this pinnacle you'll find plenty of sea life. Don't forget your spear gun. You may even find nice size lobsters.
