We are southbound again. We left Newport Beach and headed for Mission bay. However, there was no wind and we did not want to motor to Mission bay. We arrived in Dana Point early afternoon. We decided to stay here overnight and have an early start the next morning.

Our anchorage for the evening. |
We left Dana Point around 7:30 in the morning. We motored for a couple of hours to make water to fill our water bladders. After we filled the water storage, put the sails up and waited for them to fill.
We were sailing at a leisurely until the wind picked up and it was an epic sail. With the wind, we were
sailing from 4.2 to 8.4 knots. It was a gorgeous day of sailing.

The sun is smiling on our corn, peppers and beans. We love our solar oven. |

Tinge of redness is krill. However, we did not see any whales. |
As we got closer to Mission bay harbor, we were surrounded by dolphins and bait boils. It is one of those times when it is not duplicated in a picture. You just have to be there to capture the moment.

We spent 3 days anchored here long enough to dinghy around to get the feel for the place. My friend Jim came by with his puppy Cody. He dropped off my new driver's license.

We were anchored in Mariner's Basin.
