We have arrived San Diego from outside the harbor and can see Isla los Coronados, Mexico.

San Diego bay is huge. When we arrived we anchored in La Playa - Shelter Island which is the first cove on the map near the entrance of the bay.

Shelter Island

The anchorage in Shelter island is only available on weekends. We had to move to another anchorage within San Diego bay. We move to Glorietta bay anchorage which is located past the bridge next to the golf course. During our stay, my friend Jim Dearinger was kind enough to take us to Costco and afterward we drove him to work and he let us use his truck. When we dropped off Jim's truck, we got to meet almost everyone at American rigging. The sister store where I use to work. I was even lucky enough to catch Bruce Yoder, president of the Carpenter group.

We are going on 2 weeks in San Diego. We finally bought our Mexican fishing licenses Monday.  Next weekend, we will be going back to West marine to pick up a couple of things. After that we are ready to set sail for Ensenada.
