Town of Loreto

It is one of the oldest town in Baja California on the Sea of Cortez. We came here to provision for a couple of days to head out to Puerto Ballandra. We decided to come back for the weekend to watch the boxing fight between Pacquiao and Mosley; staying one more day to celebrate Mother's day and check out the Sunday farmer's market. I'm glad we did because the produce at the farmer's market was worth it. I wished they had spinach though. It is funny how your body craves for certain foods.

It was great to see our friends on La Scala - Kim & Judy. Nice dinner on their boat. A little potluck of breaded chicken, spicy coconut curry with yellowtail over rice and veggies.

Of course after our big meal on La Scala, Lenard & I walked around town in search of a chance to watch a cockfight. However, according to a local, it was over. We headed to our boat and couldn't resist to try the best nachos in town. This couple has been at the same location for over 14 years. It was certainly delicious and very filling. It was in itself a meal but does not conform to "My Plate".
