Cruising with Baja haha XVII fleet from Bahia Tortugas to Cabo San Lucas

It's been almost 2 months with no phone contact, we decided to head in and sail to Turtle bay.
The only yellowtail we've caught after 800+ miles.
I filleted this yellowtail. We had sushi and ceviche and froze the rest. Caught going through Canal de Dewey.
We arrived in Turtle bay a few hours after we caught the fish.

We stayed in Turtle bay for over a week waiting for the Baja Haha fleet to arrive and join them on their last 2 legs of the regatta.
Lenard enjoying a ballena-size Pacifo beer.
Turtle bay dock - there is a guy named Pedro who wanted $1 every time you tie up to the dinghy dock to watch your dinghy. When the fleet arrived he wanted $2 bucks. What a scam!

Our shift at night was 4 hours on and 4 hours off.

Lenard wasn't feeling too well when we arrived at Bahia Santa Maria. I think lack of sleep was the culprit. We went to the cruiser's party but didn't stay long. We decided to get things ready for the last leg of the regatta. Next stop, Cabo San Lucas - 180 miles.
We flew our chute for 4 hours of very light wind - 4-6 knots ph

After 4 hours there was no wind, we motored until we reached Cabo San Lucas. We arrived in Cabo early afternoon, Thursday, November 4th.

Gordo Lele's serves the best tacos in Mexico - it's true. Yummy!!
We met a group here who told us of another place that is cheap and serves great baked potato topped with chicken, beef or pork with cheese. It is behind Cabo Wabo.

La Michoacan - best carnitas we've ever had.
One thing for sure, sailing in a regatta was an experience that we'll never forget but it is also tiring. The last leg was brutal. There was a lot of wind that made it for sloppy seas. It took us 3 hours to round the cape and anchor. In the end, it was well worth the experience.

Happy birthday Willie! Happy Birthday Doug! Happy Birthday Lenard & Fred (DAD)!
