A beautiful weekend in San Francisco bay...

Weather report calls for clear and warm for the weekend. It wasn't quite shorts weather for me last Saturday but it sure was Sunday. Our friend, Simon came over and docked in front of us at our marina. He came from Marina bay in Richmond.

Our plan was on Sunday, to tow our dinghy behind his boat and head for Paradise just across the bay from the Marina bay channel. It started out to be a calm day leaving Emeryville marina. Lenard and I thought we had everything we needed on Simon's boat, s/v Pac Hunter. Sorry to say we forgot our cooler on the dock. Lenard decided to go back for it. He got on the dinghy and headed back while Simon and I continued on to meet him at our destination. However, the wind picked up as we got to the end of the old Berkeley pier.

Simon and I decided to just head to Angel island because from where we are we could see that the anchorage in Paradise looked blown out. We called Lenard and told him of our plans. It was a wet ride to Angel island for Lenard. It was well worth it. It was either that or no beer. Actually Simon had enough beer in his icebox.
